Our Budget
Registration
Northside Robotics annually competes in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). In order to do so, a $5,000 registration fee is required, plus $4,000 for every subsequent competition. Visit usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/frc for more information regarding competition.
Tools
Proper tools are essential in order for the team to safely and effectively build the robot. Examples of tools the team would like to purchase include: screwdrivers, clamps, saws, drills, and pliers, as well as safety gear like masks, gloves, safety glasses, and respirators.
Parts
A parts budget of approximately $2,000 allows us to purchase sufficient materials to build a high-quality robot. Examples of parts purchased in previous years include: polycarbonate, aluminum, plywood, motors, and assorted electrical components.
Events
In addition to paying registration fees for the team to attend competitions, the team needs to be able to pay for things like transportation and accommodation.
Media
In order to spread our mission, we need to invest in printing brochures and flyers, along with large media such as posters and banners. Additionally, we have traditionally handed out buttons, stickers, and business cards at all the events that we attend.
